Heather Long lives in North Texas with her husband, daughter and their menagerie of animals. As a child, Heather skipped picture books and enjoyed the Harlequin romance novels by Penny Jordan and Nora Roberts that her grandmother read to her. Heather believes that laughter is as important to life as breathing and that the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus are very real. In the meanwhile, she is hard at work on her next novel.

My Review:
Heather Long is a fantastic author. I feel in love with her work when I read her Always A Marine series for the 1NS installments. I love the way she can instantly capture me as a reader through not only her words, but her descriptions and characters. The characters steal your heart and the descriptions are vivid and realistic.

Jacob, Helcyon and Cassandra are the perfect characters for this story! Though I didn’t read the first book in the Forbidden Legacy series, this book was still captivating and riveting. I loved the way Jacob was portrayed. The accusations against him are huge and the Council is brought into play.

Each page turn is more suspenseful than the one before, and is filled with twists and turns that will sweep the reader off their feet. Through all the secrets, the trial, the Councils, you have two incredible characters that stand by Jacob and spice up the romance! Helcyon and Cassandra are perfect mates for Jacob and their love for him sizzles!

Definitely a 4 Book worthy story and one that I would read again. I am looking forward to going back and reading book 1 in this series to see where it all began. Heather Long definitely knows what to bring to her readers to hook them completely. The hot, sizzling scenes mixed amazingly complex characters are breathtaking! Can’t wait for more, Ms. Long!
