On My Wishlist; 4.28.2012

28 April, 2012 On My Wish List Saturdays 1

On My Wishlist is a fun weekly event hosted by Cosy Books and runs every Saturday. It’s where we list all the books we desperately want but haven’t actually bought yet. They can be old, new or forthcoming. It’s also an event that you can join in with too – Mr Linky is always at the ready for you to link your own ‘On My Wishlist’ post. If you want to know more click here.

After hearing all the raves about Fifty Shades Of Grey, I broke down this past week and purchased it for Mr. Kent (that’s my Kindle, by the way. He looks so lonely not having a name, so I just had to name it! After all, I spend all my nightly time with him ;)!). So, it is obvious to say that I am hoping to also get a hold of the second two books in the series, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed. And, as I surfed the net looking for more info on the books, I saw where there will be a movie!? Wow! And that E.L. James was wanting Chris Hemsworth to play Christian Grey!? Yes, please!!! :)

So, yes those two are now high on my wishlist but so are these other fantastic books! I just love the cover on Trey….*swoon worthy!*. And, I have The Wednesday Letters here and absolutely loved it, so The Wedding Letters is also high on my want list. And Shatter Me….well I just love the cover and the premise sounds fabulous!

They can’t deny the heat—it’s the only thing keeping them alive.

A distracted soldier is a dead solder. That’s special operative Trey Williams’ motto. The last thing he needs in his life is a girlfriend. Problem is, the woman who’s been recruited to pose as his wife on a special assignment is proving to be exactly the kind of distraction he can’t afford.

Years ago, Carly McAfee turned her back not only on her military career, but the men who come with it. So why did she say yes to a mission that puts her in intimate contact with Trey, under 24/7 surveillance by both bad guys and good? One slip, and they’re both dead. It’s not long, though, before her body betrays her, followed closely by her heart.

With a terrorist arms deal going down and missing teammate’s life on the line, Carly and Trey must throw caution to the wind in the scorching-hot performance of their lives—and try not to lose their hearts and minds in the process.

From New York Times bestselling author of The Wednesday Letters comes the completion of one family’s journey to survive their past and forge their own future. With no more secrets …

When Noah Cooper bumps into Rachel, it s love at first sight at least for Noah. Rachel isn t so sure. But Noah s charm pays off, and he introduces his bride-to-be to a special Cooper family tradition the wedding letters. Family and friends of the happy couple are invited to send letters of advice on love, life, and happiness.

However, when a dark secret from Rachel s past surfaces, will Noah, and his parents, Malcolm and Rain, be able to help save the wedding from disaster? And what about the scrapbook of wedding letters that have already been gathered? Could a single letter really provide the answer that will bring Rachel back?

Set against the backdrop of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley, The Wedding Letters will remind you that sometimes, no matter the secrets of years past, two hearts can still be one. And by the final page, you might just want to create your own book of wedding letters for someone you love.

Juliette hasn’t touched anyone in exactly 264 days.

The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette’s touch is fatal. As long as she doesn’t hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don’t fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.

The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war– and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she’s exactly what they need right now.

Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.

In this electrifying debut, Tahereh Mafi presents a world as riveting as The Hunger Games and a superhero story as thrilling as The X-Men. Full of pulse-pounding romance, intoxicating villainy, and high-stakes choices, Shatter Me is a fresh and original dystopian novel—with a paranormal twist—that will leave readers anxiously awaiting its sequel.

My wish list, of course, grows longer and longer with each day, when I blog surf :-). How about you? What’s on your wish list?

Molly
