Raised in both an Italian/Mediterranean American home and a traditional German household, Nadja gleaned the unique benefits of viewing the world through two widely different lenses.

Nadja resides in Northeastern Pennsylvania, ever embracing new adventures with her husband, three sons and faithful German Shepherd. She also boasts two grown daughters, who have flown the nest to pursue their own adventures.

My Review:
I have to be honest. I didn’t think I would enjoy this book all that well. When I read the blurb, I thought it sounded really good, as I love Regency romances. But, when I opened the book, I was a little confused and didn’t like the slow pace of the story. But, as with all authors, I wanted to give Ms. Notariani a chance, and, in the end, I am quite pleased that I did! This ended up really capturing my attention after the slow beginning, and I fell in love with Evangeline and Thomas!

Evangeline. I was a little confused about her character in the beginning and her reservations with men. But, after pushing through, and seeing how she was with the handsome Thomas, I could understand her earlier reservations. Especially knowing that if she didn’t soon pick a husband, her father would do it for her. And that’s something she absolutely did not want to think about! As she got to know Thomas, I saw her truly come to life and she really ended up capturing my heart!

Thomas is a sweet character! He’s quite the rake….until he gets to know Evangeline. After being told he needs to marry in order to gain his inheritance, he’s finally decided to forego his rake mentality and decides that the quiet Evangeline is just the woman to help him do that. After spending more and more time with her, he realizes that there is more than meets the eye to Miss Grey.

These two characters are completely opposite but still they are attracted to each other. Their arrangement, as the title suggests, is a practical one, and one that is a wonderful one in the end! There are a few laughs along the way, and the accents can truly be heard as if you were standing next to these characters in real life.

If you love stories that are filled with romance, detailed history and characters that will steal your heart, give this book a try. It’s 3 Book worthy read and I would love to see more books like this from this talented author!
