Devastated after the brutal murder of her husband, Chelsea Hammond vows never to love another lawman. Intent on rebuilding her shattered life, she turns her focus to helping troubled teens. But when an angry father bent on retaliation, threatens her, Chelsea must turn to the one man she never thought to trust: Deputy U.S. Marshal Trey Colten.

When Chelsea is snatched from her home, can she put aside her fear, and trust Trey with her life? Can she forgive him for destroying her past and let him help to rebuild her future?

Dora Heirs’ talent is beyond words! I can’t tell you the extreme skills that this author has. Her style is intense and encouraging, heart-felt and suspenseful. From romance to suspense, everything in between and complex characters, this author takes her readers on a whirlwind roller coaster ride.
Both Journey’s End and Journey’s Edge are filled with amazing characters and plot lines that will knock you off your feet. From start to finish, these two books kept me hanging on every word, turning every page to see what was going on next. There wasn’t a minute that passed that I wasn’t engrossed in the who and why of the books. In Journey’s End, I adored Chelsea and Trey to the end. Trey wanted nothing for the best for Chelsea, vowing to protect her from a man whose full of threats. All Chelsea wants to do is move on with her life after the death of her husband, and help teenagers who just need a little support. They were perfect for each, and each had turmoil to deal with. With amazing strength and power from God, these two were able to work together and over come their obstacles.
In Journey’s Edge, things are just as intense, following End with an attempted kidnapping. McKinley and Renner are filled with flaws and complexity, but Ms. Heirs does a magnificent job of blending them together for this story. Trusting in God and letting the past go, these two have to work together in order to protect a young life….and their hearts. Trouble is, both are stubborn, and it will take the will of God to help them through the pain of the past, and rebuild that trusting relationship.
I definitely, without a doubt, recommend both of these novels. They are amazingly written, filled with so much inspiration and truly suspenseful. Five Book worthy, two thumbs up, hats off….well, you get the picture. Please. Don’t hesitate to grab up these books. It will most definitely be worth it in the end. You’ll gain a knew perspective on life, as well as a new favorite author. I can not wait to get my hands on the final Marshals story, Journey’s Embrace. This is an amazing series, for sure, and is at the top of my must-read-again list! Beautifully done, Ms. Heirs!
