What happens in Vegas…can lead to romance.
It took one wild night for Sergeant Jeremy Addison to realize that Vegas? Was a bad idea.

Bloody. Bruised. Dehydrated. Abandoned in the desert, and left to stagger down the road. The only way this leave could get worse was if his savior was his ex-best friend’s sister…and the girl he’d loved since childhood.

The last person Erica expected to find on the roadside was her high school crush. She hadn’t seen Jeremy in seven years—ever since the night he said he loved her, and she ran away. Losing him then had been a mistake, but wanting him now could be catastrophic if he discovered the secret that chased every other man from her life. But with a tall, tattooed Marine determined to prove he’s always been faithful, can Erica resist his advances…or will she surrender ground and give love a try?

About the Author:
Diane Alberts has always been a dreamer with a vivid imagination, but it wasn’t until 2011 that she put her pen where her brain was, and became a published author. Since receiving her first contract offer, she has yet to stop writing. Though she lives in the mountains, she really wishes she was surrounded by a hot, sunny beach with crystal clear water. She lives in Northeast Pennsylvania with her four kids, a husband, and a Senegal parrot. In the rare moments when she’s not writing, she can usually be found hunched over one knitting project or another.

She is a multi-published, bestselling author with Entangled Publishing and Decadent Publishing. She has, as of this date, three books with Entangled Publishing, and five books with Decadent Publishing. Her February release with Entangled Publishing, ON ONE CONDITION, hit #18 on the Barnes and Noble Bestseller List.

My Review:
I gotta say that I absolutely love this cover…holy smokin’ cow! Can we say ‘swoon worthy’? Oh yea. I love looking at this cover *big grin*. I also have to say that I love a military man. There’s just something super sexy about a man who wears dog tags and hawt uniforms. Yup. Anyway, Diane Alberts has just become one of my favorite authors. She’s got a knack for creating a story that will hook you entirely until the end. Every minute of this book kept me engrossed in Jeremy and Erica’s story, and I didn’t want it to end. I sat through this and read it one sitting. It was just that good. With lots of fun-loving humor, sizzling passion and two tortured souls, this book was a fabulous read!

Jeremy is an awesomely sexy, super hawt Marine and I loved his story from the start. He’s got a quirky sense of humor and has loved Erica since they were kids. Trouble is, she would never look twice at a guy like him…..she proved that true 7 years ago when he confessed his feelings to her. After a rough night in Vegas, he wakes up on a sandy cactus filled road….only to be rescued by his childhood crush. A woman he hasn’t gotten over, and thinks about all the time.

Erica has secretly crushed on Jeremy since she was a kid. She loves the way he is around her, and the way he makes her feel at ease around him. She’s always thought of him as her best friend. But, when he’s accused of something by her brother, Jeremy’s best friend, and then Jeremy confesses a secret to her, she turns tail and runs. Now, after a rough seven years, he’s suddenly back in her life….and looking sexier than ever. But, she’s got a secret that could ruin everything between. She’s determined to guard that secret and hold him at arms length to hold onto the friendship she knows they can have. But, with Jeremy around, her heart opens a little more each day.

I loved watching these two, with their unique friendship and the sparks that flew between them. I was on the edge of my seat more than once hoping that they would break the barrier. When the time came for them to open up completely to each other….well, let’s just that Diane Alberts hit it spot on with Jeremy and Erica! A second chance at love story couldn’t have been written better, and I am proud to support Diane Alberts by reading her amazing work! I can’t wait for the next Take A Chance novel and reading more of Ms. Alberts’ work! Amazingly done, Ms. Alberts, and I’m now a 100% devoted fan for life! Bring on the next sexy military man! :-)
