When Monique finds out her brother, Kieran, is planning her future with the one fairy she wants nothing to do with, she seeks refuge in the human world. Now Kieran fears she will be the next victim in a string of murdered fairies and is determined to bring her home.

Hiding should be a breeze. She can control any human with a flirtatious smile and an attraction spell. Until she meets Daniel Elliot, the only human who’s immune to both.

A year ago, Daniel’s fiancĂ©e disappeared with the engagement ring, an Elliot family heirloom. He’s ready to move forward with his life, but his mother’s obsession with retrieving the ring makes that impossible. Then Monique walks into his office to apply for a job.

Daniel and Monique can’t deny their attraction, but will the reason he’s Fairyproof be too much to overcome?

Author Constance Phillips

About The Author:
Constance Phillips lives in Ohio with her husband, two ready-to-leave-the-nest children, and four canine kids. Her perfect fantasy vacation would involve hunting Dracula across Europe with her daughter, who also digs that kind of stuff. When she’s not writing about fairies, shifters, vamps, and guardian angels, she’s working side-by-side with her husband in their hardwood flooring business.

Constance is actively involved in her local Romance Writers of America chapter (MVRWA) and the Southeast Michigan chapter of the United States Pony Club. When not writing or enjoying the outdoors, she loves reality television or can be found at a Rick Springfield concert (just look for the pink Converse high tops).

My Review:
I’m usually not a big reader of Fairy novels. I just don’t dig the whole Fairy deal. But, once in awhile, like this instance, I find an author who can create a whoppin’ great romance novel and add the Fairy element, and it will blow me away and then some. Ms. Phillips’ work is fantastic and really hooked me instantly. She blended the perfect amount of suspense with romance and created a novel that I am proud to have read.

Monique is a fairy who’s meddling brother is setting up her future. A future she’s not keen on having so she escapes to the human world. There’s a problem in the human world, though. Fairies are being murdered and Monique may be the next to die. But, she’s not worried. After all, who can resist her charms and smiles? No one, it seems, except for the devilishly sexy Daniel. Try as she might, Monique can’t break down Daniel’s human barriers. He seems to be….well….fairyproof.

Daniel’s fiance took off….and took the family heirloom with her. Now, at the instance of his persistent mother, Daniel is determined to get it back. Until Monique walks into his life. The beautiful fairy has stolen his breath away……but that’s all she steal. Or is it?

When another Fairy enters the picture, it stirs up things…things that can harm the Council. Monique can’t deny the sizzling attraction she feels to Daniel, but she’s got to save her world. Daniel feels the emotions and the heat, but he’s Fairyproof and won’t fall victim to her charms. Until he realizes that he can’t live without her.

This interesting take on Fairies, Councils, good and evil is definitely worthy of 4 Books! I totally fell in love with Daniel and Monique and really loved their story! The ending left me wanting more of their story and I can’t wait to read more of Ms. Phillips’ work! She has definitely created a new fan in me! Great job, Ms. Phillips!
