Wow. So not your normal paranormal suspense book! I honestly thought for awhile there, that I wouldn’t be able to give this more than a 2 in rating. Why? Simply put, I felt it a little slow at the beginning. But, pushing through, seeing the pace picking up, I found myself more and more engrossed in the story. Before I knew it, it was the end!
Glorianna is a character that is filled with so much turmoil. She’s a shifter who’s cursed. Anyone who loves her, dies. That’s what happened when she risked falling in love with Baldur. Before he was murdered, he gave Glorianna a ring…..someone is out to get that ring now and she’s determined to protect it at all costs, and seek revenge for her beloved’s death.
Alex is a werewolf who finds Glorianna and takes her away to help her heal. With a tortured past full of secrets, lies and deceit, he’s not sure he can fall for the beautiful Glorianna. And Glorianna is sure she doesn’t want him to fall for her, for fear of the her curse.
But, as the two spend time together to hunt down and seek revenge, they can’t deny the spark-flying attraction between them. Will their love be enough to push past the curse? Or will death once again be a result?
Watching these characters grow and push on past forbidden feelings, was awesome. I’m so glad I pushed past the slow parts! This is a 4 Book worthy start to a fantastic new series. I highly recommend this book to everyone who loves a wonderfully written paranormal story. I can’t wait to read the next installment to the Veela Curse!
