Blog Tour Review of Songs of Deliverance by Marilynn Griffith

About the Book:
They say time heals all wounds–but sometimes that’s just not enough.

Fifteen years ago, Zeely Wilkins and Ron Jenkins were students that most people had stopped believing in. Lucky for them, their teacher recognized they were the cream of the crop and just needed the right soil.

Though they went their separate ways, the past has called them back to the school and the teacher who wouldn’t give up on them. Now they’ll have to decide what love really means–and whether they’re willing to dance to a new tune to get it. But can they rediscover the songs of deliverance that once brought them together? Or will their secrets keep them apart?

In this soul-searching and suspenseful story, Marilynn Griffith invites you to believe in the power of truth, love, and redemption

My Review:
Another book that I just don’t know how to put into words what I felt when reading it. It is definitely one of those WOW books! From the beginning, the suspense pulls you in and won’t let you go. The plot of love, redeeming yourself, and secrets is full of so many edge-of-your-seat twists, making it a compelling story I just did not want to put down! I loved ALL the characters in this one. I couldn’t say that just one was my favorite because they all blend together in the plot so perfectly. I found myself crying with them, laughing with them and praying with them. I could feel the pain and the love that they all felt. I could see myself in all of them in one way or another and that fascinated me,because usually it is just one character that I can relate with. The author really put God into this book and I could feel Him guiding all the characters and myself ,too! This fantastic read has found a permenant home on my bookshelf and is one that I will be reading time and again!

I give 5 stars to Songs of Deliverance with recommendation as a MUST read! Please don’t wait to grab your copy of this book! IT IS WORTH YOUR TIME!!!

Review of Milk Money by Cecelia Dowdy

About the Book:
Running a dairy farm is a big job, but doing it alone is almost impossible.

When her dad dies, Emily must work hard to save the family farm, but she manages. Until the day the CPA pulls in her drive and announces he’s there to do an audit on the place.

Franklin Reese is appalled at the lack of interest the Cooper women have in the financial end of their livelihood, but he dives in, determined to help them learn. The further he looks into Mr. Cooper’s dealings, however, the more uncomfortable he becomes.

Can he uncover the truth of the situation and still earn the love of the amazing Emily Cooper? Will Franklin’s addiction to alcohol keep them apart, even after the farm is taken care of? Only God can heal hurting hearts and repair broken lives. Will these two let Him in?

About the Author:
Cecelia Dowdy has been an avid reader since she learned to string letters together to form words. While pursuing a business degree in college one of her professors tried to convince her to get an English degree since he felt she was a great writer. Years later, after receiving her BS in Finance, she took her former teacher’s advice, and started pursuing her literary career.

She loves to read, write, and bake delicious desserts during her spare time. Traveling is another favorite hobby, and she’s been to various countries around the world, including Germany, France, England, Tahiti, New Zealand, Mexico, Jamaica, Bahamas, Cayman Islands, and Santo Domingo. She enjoys listening to old tunes with her husband on Saturday nights. Currently she resides with her spouse and young son in Maryland.

My Review:
I read  Cecelia’s first book, John’s Quest, and LOVED that one, so I was excited to get to read this book! And let me tell you…I was not disappointed! Cecelia did another wonderful job with capturing my heart and letting God shine through in her story, Milk Money, book 2 in her upcoming release, Chesapeake Weddings.

Her plot line in this book was outstanding! She tells the story of Emily, who’s father has passed away, leaving her sole proprietor of the family’s dairy farm. But, she soon finds out about Frank, the alcoholic accountant hired to help keep the farm. Cecelia did a wonderful job in pulling reality into this Godly fiction story. She adds just the right amount of twists in the plot to keep you turning page after page, you’re sure to not want the book to end (I know I didn’t!).The characters tugged at my heart and I couldn’t help but pray for them!
I highly recommend this book with 5 stars, for an evening by the fireplace read. It’s full of love and hope and best of all, full of our Loving Heavenly Father shining through Cecelia’s words! Well done, again, Cecelia!
